Buying private jets using Bitcoin; one aircraft costs 3,750 BTC
A private jet sales company added crypto to its payment options. Now, customers can pay Bitcoin to buy a multi-million-dollar jet. An aircraft costs around 3,750 BTC.
The Business Insider reported on Sept. 13 that Aviatrade is currently selling its private jets in exchange for Bitcoin. Aviatrade is a U.S. based company. The most popular and famous product is an upgraded 2014 Gulfstream G650ER, which costs around $40 million. It’s around 3,750 BTC at the time of writing. This model of private jet is the same model, which billionaires such as Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk are using it. This model is capable of travelling more than 7,500 nautical miles. It’s roughly the distance between Sydney and Los Angeles.
Aviatrade’s website stated that the company accepts Bitcoin as a payment option for business jet purchases.
Crypto payments make the process of payment easier
Philip Rushton, the Aviatrade president, said that using fiat currency to buy a private jet has some issues such as subjecting to cross-border restrictions in some countries. It seems that cryptocurrencies have less regulatory oversight at least for now.
Although the company still doesn’t have specific price for its aircrafts, crypto traders do not need to settle only for Gulfstream model. The company listed 13 different private business jets for sale so far. For instance, a Bombardier Global 7500s is valued at $72.8 million, which is roughly around 6,800 BTC.
Buying Private Jets Using Bitcoin; Aviatrade is not the first company
Aviatrade is not the first company, which accepts crypto. It was in June that Fabrizio Poli the Kaizen Aerospace chairman, had an interview with Bitcoin educator Andreas Antonopoulos. He announced in his interview that Kaizen accepts Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as a payment option. Customers can pay for private jets or charter and cargo services using crypto.
